Sleep diaries have been an integral part of the assessment of insomnia (and other sleep disorders) for research and/or clinical purposes for several decades now. Sleep diaries are easy to apply and to fill out and not difficult to evaluate for the clinician and/or researcher who is administering it.
The consensus sleep diary collects data pertaining to sleep Sleep onset latency, number of night time awakenings, sleep efficiency, total daily sleep time (including naps), and sleep quality.
The consensus sleep diary is offered in app form to allow for ease of use and instill daily habits easily across users. The consensus sleep diary can also be used via webpage. The diary is offered free for not-for-profit use.
