2021/02/20 "On the role of solution-processed bathocuproine in high-efficiency inverted perovskite solar cells" was published by Solar Energy.
It is an important finding that the solution-processed BCP small molecules does not form a thin layer on top of PCBM electron transport layer. It is the first time to investigate the penetrations of solvents (methanol, ethanol and IPA) and BCP molecules into the PCBM/MAPbI3 double layer, which can modify the PCBM thin film and passivate the defects at the PCBM/MAPbI3 interface and thereby largely increasing the PCE.
