Co-Chair
The Chair/Co-Chair provides organization and oversight to the organization to support smoothe continuous operations. The role is ideal for someone willing and able to take on a strategic leadership role that involves leading other leaders, making final decisions and doing what is in the best interest of members. Board Chairs or Co-Chairs lead monthly board meetings to include drafting agendas, and virtual facilitation with an emphasis on productivity and time management. Chairs provide strategic guidance, and when needed, make final decisions for the good of the organization. Chairs also represent the organization at a leadership level and are expected to demonstrate an inclusive and professional demeanor.
Marketing & Communications Director
The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for shaping and elevating ODN SoCal’s brand, voice, and presence across digital and member communication channels. This role leads the strategy and execution of marketing campaigns, manages social media and email outreach, and ensures consistent, compelling messaging across platforms. Key responsibilities include creating promotional content for events, maintaining the website, curating newsletters, and collaborating with board members to enhance member engagement and visibility. The ideal candidate has strong digital marketing and storytelling skills, experience with social media and email marketing tools, and a passion for building community through clear and creative communication.
Events & Programming Director
The Director of Events & Programming faciliatates the planning and execution of all in-person and virtual events from concept development to post-event evaluation. This role will lead the board in generating innovative event ideas, securing dynamic speakers, and ensuring smooth logistical execution. Key responsibilities include managing event budgets, coordinating with vendors, collaborating with Marketing Director for event promotion, and analyzing feedback to continuously improve programming. The ideal candidate excels in project management, has a creative mindset, and is passionate about delivering impactful experiences.
Finance Director & Treasurer
The Director of Finance & Treasury is responsible for overseeing the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This role manages all financial operations, including budgeting, collecting member fees, tracking expenses, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role generates regular financial reports for leadership, provides insights into the organization's financial performance, and identifies areas for improvement. Additionally, this position leads fundraising efforts to support the organization's initiatives and growth. The ideal candidate has strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and experience in nonprofit or professional organization finance management.
Administration Director
The Director of Administration is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and logistical support of the organization’s internal communications and leadership activities. This role oversees the coordination of communication between the leadership team, assists in the development of meeting agendas, and provides support during leadership meetings by taking detailed notes and tracking key action items. Additionally, the Director supports the day-to-day operations management, ensuring that administrative processes run efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in facilitating clear communication and operational efficiency within a fast-paced environment.
Board Member At Large
The Board Member at Large plays a versatile role, providing support to all board members and contributing to the overall success of the organization’s initiatives. Open to students or aspiring practitioners, this position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in leadership, governance, and organizational development. Responsibilities include assisting various board committees, participating in strategic discussions, and offering fresh perspectives on initiatives.
