Uluru, or otherwise known as Ayers Rock, is a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the Northern Territory’s arid "Red Centre" which reaches height's of 863m. The nearest large town is Alice Springs, 450km away. This trip is not for the faint hearted as temperatures can sore to 40 degree plus and the weather can be extremely dry and humid.
