Aoraki, otherwise known as Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand and located in the south island. Its height is currently listed at 3,724 metres. It sits in the Southern Alps and is a popular tourist destination, it is also a favorite challenge for mountain climbers.
First climbed on Christmas day 1894 by George Clarke, Tom Fyfe and Jack Clarke
