This teacher works as a team member with professional colleagues, students, parents or guardians, and community members.
Description: This is a picture of a daily behavioral plan I use with induvidual students. The student will bring it with them to every class and each teacher has the opportunity to track the student's behavior during the class and also make comments.
Connection: This chart connects to performance indicator 8j which mentions colborating with other teachers and school personel. Each teacher the student has, as well as the school counselor and social worked combined efforts to create this chart for this specific student in order to help him achieve and do his best work.
Explanation: Tracking student's days using charts like the one above are very helpful as a teacher. They allow fo teachers to understand how the students day has been going thus far. Working with the other professionals at the school to induvidualize this plan has already helped the student better understand what they are working towards and how their behavior can have consequences.
Description: This is a picture from the Juggling Show which my CT organizes every year. This year we had 75 jugglers involved from second to fifth grade and two performances.
Connection: The school-wide juggling show connects to performance indicators 8l and 8p in that it required colaboration with many other school related employees as well as parents. They perfromed the show once for parents and ones for students and staff. Both shows showcased student's talents and showed the care my CT has for what she does.
Explanation: Getting to watch and be apart of the preprations for the show was truly so encouragaing and inspsiring. Watching the students, teachers, and parents alike be equally bought into a school event was cool to witness. It also taught me how much more can accomplished when colaboration occurs. I hope to one day plan a similar event when I am a teacher that highlights students in the PE setting and includes parent participation.
