EVENTS

Film Screening

We will be  holding a fortnightly film screening of documentaries and movies that bear relevance to Buddhism and Buddhist culture, community, history and Art.

Weekly Meditation

Our meditation sessions will consist of two parts: 30 minutes of guided meditation and 30 minutes of discussion on Buddhist thoughts or reading Buddhist Chan poems, totaling one hour. The sessions will be led by well-trained Bhikkhu and Bhikkhuni in Buddhist traditions, who are also DPhil students in Oriental Studies at Oxford.

Our free meditation sessions aim to provide a peaceful and relaxing environment to help students alleviate stress and improve mental and physical health. We believe that meditation can be particularly beneficial during Trinity term, when students are under pressure from exams and coursework. Therefore, we warmly invite students from all backgrounds to experience the benefits of meditation.

Meditation leaders: Ven. Huynh Quoc Tuan, Wolfson College (Bhikkhu)  and Ven. Wanyu Zhang, Regent’s Park College (Bhikkhuni)

Time: Tuesdays starting from May 16th at 8:00-9:00 pm.
