Located in the heart of Central Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Oakland Heights Farm is dedicated to the preservation of the art and sport of horseback riding. Started in 1979 by David and Sally Lamb the farm located in Orange Virginia has grown to be one of Virginia’s most recognized horse farms. We are a short, scenic hour and a half drive from Washington D.C. and offer trail riding packages with some of the areas B&B's and hotels.
Oakland Heights Farm is the perfect place to learn to ride, whether you are a beginner, experienced, or want a leisurely trail ride. The farm includes two riding rings, quaint stables and miles of trails. We offer both English and Western lessons 6 days a week year-round according to your schedule. Trail rides are offered seven days a week year-round and are sure to include not only a great ride but also beautiful countryside and some of the area’s history.
Oakland Heights Farm holds horse shows from June through September on the farm. The shows are recognized by both VHSA and BHSA associations for member points. We have easy access for trailers in and out of the farm and plenty of parking.
