After registering you will receive an email from Eventbrite. If you cannot find the email in your inbox, check your Junk folder. In the email from Eventbrite there will be an "order number". This is a ten digit number and it will be your Participant ID for the NZOMO. Please record this number because you will need it to submit your work.
Students attending decile 1-3 schools who register using the relevant form will instead receive an email from the organiser containing their participant ID by 11:00am on Saturday 9th May.
Step 3 - Get ready
Make sure that you are ready to sit the NZOMO on Saturday the 9th of May at 2:00pm NZT.
Check that you know your Participant ID and know how to submit work.
Try the sample paper and mark your work against the official solutions (highly recommended). These can be found on the resources page.
Step 4 - Do the problems
At 2:00pm NZT on Saturday the 9th of May, the problems will be posted on the resources page.
Time to start doing them!
Step 5 - Submit your work
At 4:00pm NZT on Saturday the 9th of May, you should stop working and get your work ready for submission.
Submissions are due by 4:15pm NZT on Saturday the 9th of May.
Step 6 - Get your results
All you need to do now is to wait. Our team of highly qualified and professional markers will then mark your work. Some scripts, including those at the top and those close to award boundaries, will be check-marked.
When marking is complete, you will receive your results by email. If you do particularly well, your results may also be published on our website. We anticipate results will be out about a month after the test date, but will aim to get them out faster.
