Registration process for people entering chaplaincy
NZHCA secretary, will send the chaplain an information leaflet at time of appointment or at the request of the chaplain
Chaplain to contact Convener NZHCA Registration Board, indicating intention to begin the registration process. (The registration journey is over a period of three years.)
The Convener will send out the Registration Manual which contains all the information and papers required through to full registration.
An approved supervisor is chosen.
A report from the chaplain's supervisor is required at the end of the first year (Provisional).
At the end of the second year the material, as set out in the Manual, is provided in preparation to meet with the regional panel (Intermediate)
Recommendation and report forwarded to the Registration Board.
At the end of the third year the material, as set out in the Manual, is provided in preparation to meet with the registration panel (Full)
Recommendation and report forwarded to the Registration Board.
Recommendation forwarded to the NZHCA executive for endorsement.
The NZHCA secretary will, in the case of ICHC chaplains, notify the Executive Officer, ICHC of the outcome.
