CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture". It is a system to connect consumers with local producers. We receive vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers, meat, dairy, eggs and more on Mondays from 10:30 AM to 6 PM, at 100 Bleecker street.
How does it work?
1) Sign up at the beginning or during the season and pay upfront on the Lancaster Farm Fresh Co-Op website (Select our site when checking out: NY: NYU as your first choice).
2) Pick up your box of produce every week: Mondays 10:30 AM to 6 PM, at 100 Bleecker street (Silver towers). Pickup by members is an honor system self-serve process. After 6 PM, unclaimed produce will be donated.
3) Enjoy!
The next season starts the week of 10/30 and will run through the week of 12/18 (8 weeks). Registrations are accepted during the season.
Membership requirements:
NYU members only: NYU Faculty Housing residents and NYU students may participate in the CSA.
Volunteering requirement: shifts on Mondays (20-30 min per season). More information here.
