This 1082 mile walk through the Alps, from Munich in Germany to Annecy in France, was originally inspired by the Red Via Alpina. However, I have modified the original route to replace most mountain huts with hotels and to spend more time in the Swiss Alps. The resulting route still resembles the Red Via Alpina in spirit (Alps across borders), but not in detail.
