Q: Where do parents get information about upcoming events?

A: On our webpage, there is a calendar with all the upcoming events and times. You can also join the North Valley Band Remind located on the home page.

Q: When do you practice?

A: We practice every Tuesday and Thursday in the Fall. After football season is over we move to just Tuesdays after school. Come springtime we add drumline rehearsals on Thursday. At the end of August, we do have band camp, the Monday-Thrusday two weeks before school starts. This runs from 4 pm to 6:30 pm. For specific times and dates, you can view them on the calendar.

Q: Can I do sports and Band?

A: Yes! Coaches at NVHS don't want you to have to choose between the activities that you want to do. The only thing we want you to do is to communicate the times you are going to be with each group. It is very important that you communicate with your coach and Mr. Jones.

Q: Does it cost money?

A: There is a small fee associated with band of $25. This goes to help Cover Uniform Cleaning, Gloves, Instrument repair, music, equipment, and festival fees. If you cannot pay in full, please contact our bookkeeper Michelle to set up a plan. Fundraising that we do throughout the year, can go towards your band fees. See our fundraising/donation page for more details. (Important note - Not being able to pay band fees should not be the cause of not joining band. Please communicate with Mr. Jones and contact our bookkeeper to set up a plan and join band.)

Q: Do I need to register for band and/or Choir?

A: Yes. Participants need to register through Family ID.
