It’s that time of the day: your stomach is grumbling, you ate breakfast, and it’s too early to head to lunch. What are you going to do? It’s time for a snack! Snacks are small amounts of food that provide your body with energy and nutrients to hold you over until your next full meal. Some energizing snacks could include hummus and veggies, pretzels and peanut butter, fruit and a hard-boiled egg, or a granola bar and yogurt, just to name a few! Snacks fuel your body, providing extra support to focus on school or work, and can be a part of balanced eating styles.
