Introducing: The DRAGON Project! The DRAGON Project is an immersive, 11-session nutrition series tailored for upper-grade high school students. Led by the students themselves, this unique initiative delves into crucial aspects of wellness, including mindfulness, factors influencing food choices, sustainability, goal setting, food resources, food shopping, project management, and leadership skills. Students receive five lesson-style sessions before progressing to the remaining six student-led sessions, where the group will work together to assess their school's community and create a wellness project around the assessment.
Teachers have the flexibility to schedule sessions according to their preferences—whether it’s weekly or bi-weekly—with each lesson designed to take approximately 45 minutes. Following the completion of The DRAGON Project, classes come together to reflect upon and celebrate their collective learning, triumphs, and the challenges they conquered. Prepare to embark on a transformative journey towards a healthier, more mindful future with The DRAGON Project!
