If your mentor has completed the 6 NASBTT Mentor Development Modules (equivalent to 6 hours of training), alongside their involvement in other forms of training (including engaging with the Weekly Mentor Meeting Slides and referenced reading, coobservation of lessons and debriefs with University staff during ISMOT Visits), you can claim the full 20 hours. If a mentor has NOT completed the NASBTT Mentor Development Modules, you can only claim for a maximum of 14 hours of training.
We thought that Mentors and Professional Tutors might like to hear that Sehar's account of the acheivements of the 2024-2025 cohort. Sehar is a qualifying English trainee teacher from this cohort and her oration illustrates with humour, tact and diplomacy some of the challenges and achievements that trainees experienced during their training year.
