Week: January 7-10
Monday- First day back. We will review the final exam and final grade. STUDIO: continue on working on first piece.
Wednesday- We will review the pieces completed for the fashion show. We will also review our fashion binder and notebook. We will create a list of the fashion designers participating in the fashion show and number of pieces their presenting. Class discussion topics: Portfolio, fashion show pieces deadline, gallery display,attendance, and ARTS EXPLOSIONS.
Thursday- Studio: Start designing piece #2 and decide on a deadline. Place a pattern order from sewschoolinschool.com
Week January 14-17
Monday- Today we will learn how to sew a zipper. Supplies: scissors, hand sewing needle, zipper, muslin fabric, and zipper foot.
Wednesday-Fashion Words of the Week
Thursday- I will photograph students first piece for the fashion show. Studio: Students will continue to work on their second piece of their collection.
Week January 21-24
Monday- NO SCHOOL- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Wednesday-Review Fashion Words of the Week. List new Fashion Words of the Week
Thursday-Studio: We we would work on completing 80% of the second piece by the end of class.
Week January 28-31
Monday- We will continue working on completing the second piece for the fashion show.
Wednesday-Continue working on second piece due tomorrow.
Thursday- Note: progress report 3 due. Second piece due 100 points
