August 6-9 Week 1
Monday, August 6- First day of Costume Design. Introduction to Costume Design, read the syllabus, remind app, contracts and the supply list.
Wednesday, August 8- Students will learn about the supplies in the room and how to utilize the work space.
Thursday, August 9- TURN IN: Contracts. Show students previous fashion projects. Students will create a list of projects they would like to work on the first semester.
August 13-16 Week 2
Monday, August 13- TURN IN: Syllabus contracts, 10 points. ACTIVITY: Performance Benchmark
Wednesday, August 14- ACTIVITY: Written reflection and multiple choice benchmark
Thursday, August 15- Review sewing machine functions and parts.
August 20-23 Week 3
Monday, August 20- Introduce fashion show theme and categories.
Wednesday, August 21-Studio: Students will sketch ideas for the spring 2019 fashion show.
Thursday, August 23-Students will continue sketching ideas for the Spring 2019 fashion show.
August 27-30 Week 4
Monday, August 27-Introduce first sewing project; petticoat.
Wednesday, August 29-Students will start cutting petticoat pattern.
Thursday, August 30-Students will cut tulle for the petticoat.
