August 6-9 Week 1
Monday, August 6th- First day of fashion. Introduction to fashion, read the syllabus, remind app, and the supply list.
Wednesday, August 8th- Students will learn about the supplies in the fashion room and how to utilize the work space.
Thursday, August 9th- Show students previous fashion projects. Students will create a list of projects they would like to work on the first semester.
August 13-16 Week 2
Monday, August 13th- TURN IN: Syllabus contracts, 10 points. ACTIVITY: Performance Benchmark
Wednesday, August 14th- ACTIVITY: Written reflection and multiple choice benchmark
Thursday, August 15th-Studio
August 20-23 Week 3
Monday, August 20-WOW Bobbin, Bobbin Case, Bobbin Stopper, Needle Plate, Seam Allowance, Stitch Dial, Tension Dial, Sample Seam Allowance, Change Needle.
Wednesday, August 21-Continue reviewing the parts and functions of the sewing machine.
Thursday, August 23- Activity- Sew the 3 standard seam allowance. 20 points
August 27-30 Week 4
Monday, August 27- Fashion Movie: Viktor and Rolf.
Wednesday, August 29- Activity: Movie notes and answer questions.
Thursday, August 30-Review movie notes. New Assignment. Cut pattern and fabric for the first sample piece.
