The NMCA is only as strong as its members. Being active in NMCA is a wonderful way to stay informed about what’s happening in our community, and to have input on its future. Active participation in the process is the best way to ensure that our neighborhood and quality of life are preserved.
There are a variety of committees available--help capture the neighborhood's history, plan seasonal events, welcome new neighbors, lead public safety efforts, and more. To get involved, choose a committee and contact the Chair
The Communications Committee is responsible for communications within the Norwood Manor Civic Association. The Communications Committee is also responsible for the quarterly newsletter and all social media platforms to disseminate Norwood Manor information. If you are creative and interested in marketing the Communications Committee is a fantastic way for you to get involved and utilize your skills.

The Housing/Land Use/Zoning committee is tasked with reviewing and voting on zoning, variance, and special use permit applications which are heard by our Neighborhood Planning Unit.
All applications will be subject to a meeting of surrounding neighbors, who will be notified of such an application.

The Public Safety Committee is responsible for working with the Zone 3 Police Department, Code Enforcement, and the S.W.E.E.T team to provide updates to the community about the status of public safety matters.

The Beautification committee is dedicated to preserving the beautification of the Norwood Manor Neighborhood. The committee is also dedicated to the sustainability of our environment and specifically the environmental needs of Norwood Manor. The Beautification Committee hosts monthly cleanups, workshops, and other events dedicated to the beautification and sustainability of the community. The committee also hosts NMCA's yard of the month and our holiday decorating program.

The social committee plans special events for the community, develops budgets for these events, creates revenue reports following the events, and publishes the yearly events calendar for the residents.

The History committee is responsible for gathering historical documents, photos, videos, and stories from the past of our community and managing it digitally. As the neighborhood advances this committee will photograph and archive events moving for future reference.
