Meetings

Note that these are regularly scheduled meetings, which infrequently may have to be moved to another location because of scheduling conflicts with the Fire Department.  Any changes will be announced on the Home page and at meetings.  Volunteers will also assist at various public service events through the course of the year.  These opportunities will be announced at the regular meetings, on the Home Page, and through Volgistics, where volunteers can sign up to participate.

All-Volunteer Quarterly Meetings

DATES:  Second Tuesday of each quarter from 7-8:30 pm (March, June, and September)

PARTICIPANTS:  All are welcome! This meeting is open to the general public and the community.

TOPICS:  Various emergency preparedness topics from around the area.

Monthly Field Operations Meetings (formerly CERT)

DATES:  Second Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30 pm

PARTICIPANTS:  All volunteers

TOPICS:  Mini-trainings on preparedness topics

UAS Drone Meetings

DATES:  First Thursdays of each month from 7-8:30 pm

SUBCOMMITTEES:  6:00pm to 6:45pm

PARTICIPANTS:  Everyone with an interest in drones is welcome to attend.

NEMCo HAM RADIO Meetings

DATES: Third Tuesdays of each month from 7-8:30 pm.

PARTICIPANTS:  Note that these meetings are open to all amateur radio users or even those contemplating getting their ham license! 

TOPICS:  The meetings typically consist of an introductory portion, a mini-training on essential fundamental radio skills and techniques, and an opportunity to get help with any of your radio questions. Some topics of ongoing general ham applicability: member participation goals, use of prowords and introductory words for tactical voice/message traffic, technology discussions, e.g., HamWAN and Winlink, antennas, public service opportunities as operators, EOC operations, and others.
