Biography:
Kenneth Harris is currently a CTE Construction Teacher part of the Home Engineering Academy (HEA) and Athletic Director at North Hollywood High School entering his 4th full year. Mr. Harris has spent the last 22 years involved in Education and High School Athletics in a variety of roles as a Coach, Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Director along with serving as a CIF-LACS League Commissioner. Mr. Harris spent many summers working at Camps as a Director while serving as the Handyman for all onsite issues. Over the Course of 3 Summers and weekends Mr. Harris worked for a General Contractor on general home repairs. During this time is when the interest in Construction was born and led him to becoming a Construction Teacher. During the 2018-2019 School Year Mr. Harris organized the 1st ever Construction Day for HEA Students as well as helping organize many other HEA Events. He attended a weeklong Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3): Train-the-Trainer where earned a certificate from NABTU - North America's Building and Trades Unions in conjunction with Michigan State University in June of 2019. One of Mr. Harris's most important achievements as a Teacher is serving as a mentor to the students by providing guidance and emotional support.
