What could be the mission as educators? economic development
Our mission is to create Economic Development through sustainability, creating a Green Lens that will leave a positive impact on the environment.
What you vision?
My vision is to develop a product working along with the Agriculture Program at my school to create a product or model that we can either share or market to the communities.
How it will help you in your educational model?
I feel that this program will help create a network that will have a large impact on the educational model as I am transitioning to new courses over the next 2 years: Multi-Craft Core (pre-apprenticeship) and Construction Technology. These courses have both Economic Development and Green Building built into the curriculums.
Who are the players?
I feel that the players involved for me will be my academy team, administrations, the community along with School Board Members, and the Mayor's Office. I am sure that there will be other players involved.
What is our outcome?
To help build and develop ways that align with CDLA's vision inorder to create a better green lens for the environment.

Task
Select one or two Goals from pLAn or SDG and align it to your Just Transition/Urban Intervention:
One of my Urban Intervention Project ideas is to develop a vacant lot into a small homeless community. In order to attempt this project, I would work with my local councilman on seeing if we can develop a vacant lot in the community for the housing of converted portable toilets that will serve as housing for the homeless. This small community of homeless housing would give each individual their own plot that they can develop with a garden or small yard. The converted portable toilets will sit on a trailer which will have a smaller unit to function as a shower/restroom. The larger unit will function as the living quarters. These homes will run on solar energy with batteries that are charged throughout the day.
This Urban Intervention Project idea aligns with both Mayor Garcetti's pLAn to help reduce homelessness along with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals for No Poverty, Zero Hunger and to Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
