NORMOD Development Update – March 2025
Greetings,
We’re back with another development update for NORMOD, and we have some exciting progress to share! Our team has been hard at work expanding our arsenal, refining our uniforms and equipment, and pushing forward on the highly anticipated Lofoten Islands terrain. Let’s dive into the details.
Our latest additions to NORMOD bring even more authenticity to the Norwegian Armed Forces loadout. We now have fully developed models of the HK416N and HK416K, the primary service rifles used by Norwegian forces. To complement these rifles, we’ve integrated a variety of attachments, including:
ROTEX 5 suppressors
Aimpoint optic
PMAGs for enhanced reliability and functionality
Additionally, we’re excited to announce the completion of a new MP7 model, expanding our range of compact, high-performance firearms.
Authenticity is at the core of NORMOD, and we’ve expanded our selection of uniforms to better represent real-world Norwegian military gear. The current lineup includes:
NCU uniform (Desert & Woodland variants)
M17 combat uniform
M02 jacket with hood
Furthermore, we’ve introduced a brand-new NFM vest, available in the following camo patterns:
M23 Woodland
Desert
Ranger Green
Multicam
These additions provide players with an immersive and versatile experience while maintaining the highest level of realism.
The development of our Lofoten Islands map is making steady progress. We’re committed to delivering a true-to-life representation of this unique and breathtaking region. While we are focusing on completing the core assets and terrain details, another member of our team is actively developing additional assets to enrich the environment.
Given the complexity and scale of this project, we plan to release the Lofoten Terrain later in development when it reaches a more polished state.
Team Update
Many of our team members are currently participating in Exercise Joint Viking, a large-scale military training operation. They will be returning next week, ready to continue their contributions to NORMOD. Their real-world experience brings valuable insights that help us maintain authenticity in every aspect of the mod.
