Tears for Souvenirs series explores iconic postcard imagery intersecting with contemporary seaside culture & gentrification as locals are drawn into 'Games without frontiers' in new postcards, I want to dilute the ink and see it run from tears. Tears of frustration about how to say a location without actually saying the location - inspired by "Tears for Souvenirs" a song written by lyricist Frank Capano and composer Billy Uhr, first made popular by Rudy Vallée in 1930. It was later made famous in a version recorded by Ken Dodd, a bestselling hit released as a 45 rpm single in 1965.
