Taking part in The Brighton Fringe Festival 2025 for the first time aligned me through mutual local and noir interests with this excellent composer and singer Julia Finnimore who commisioned a music video for her track 'Pioneer', well we connected so well I ended up making visuals for 3 of her unique musical compositions about events in Brighton's history.
There is very little real film of Pioneer (1996-1901) I saw a short reel in Volks musuem/visitor centre in Brighton, so I have used postcard source material and prompts to affect lighting and atmosphere. I would very much like to know more about what it felt to travel on this fancy train on rails versus the i360 currenlty in Brighton.
