Let's clean those sections!
NoDabs.com is my website for posting my experience getting back into Motorcycle Trials after leaving the sport in the early 90's.
I almost credit (or blame) Facebook Reels for impressing on me so many trials videos that guided me back into trials. Really though my focus is on fitness and having some fun while doing it.
There's a vast array of on line videos for learning to ride motorcycle trials and I've captured the ones that are important to me.

First Trials practice session at Bundy Hill. Rode for about 1:40 with a few breaks.
Second practice session at Bundy Hill rode for just over 2 hours.
Third practice session at Bundy Hill rode for just over 2 hours.
4/15/2026: I signed up for the Ryan Young 2 day trials training for May 9th and 10th in Ohio. I thought about going to the Trials Training Center in Tennessee but the 600 mile drive seemed too much.
3/10/2026-3/11/2026: Each day practiced static balancing for 15 minutes. This appears to be a skill that needs to be practiced every day or 2 to maintain.
2/2/2026: Day #9 completed 8 minutes static balancing with the first and longest on lasting 4 minutes 38 seconds.
1/30/2026: Day #8 of my static balance training lasted 17 minutes with the longest being 7:31. Video link under My Training tab.
1/29/2026: Since we're in an artic blast here in Michigan about all that I can accomplish on the bike is "static balancing" checkout the My Training tab for what I've been able to do.
During a Trials Progression interview with Ray Peters Ray mentioned that most club riders should drop a tooth on the front sprocket. I couldn't find a 9 tooth front sprocket for my 2023 Sherco 300 STR so instead bought a 46 tooth rear sprocket to replace the 42 tooth version. This results in just about the same ratio 10/46 version 9/42.
I installed the 46 tooth sprocket and it certainly slowed it down.
I downloaded archived issues of Cycle News from the 80's and 90's and found out I actually did ride the expert class, placed 2nd in one, and WON another in 1987.
