You have watched a video, viewed animal pictures, and read about endangered animals. Isn't it amazing the different resources available to find out all about the many different animals in our world?!
Next, you will get to identify, or decide, what animal you will research for your presentation.
In this stage, students will "...browse through various sources of information to explore interesting ideas and prepare to develop their inquiry questions." (Kuthlthau et al, 2012, p. 75). The learning goal for the students is to explore new ideas which will raise questions to help them identify their focus and gather information from resources in the next two stages.
Students will be expected to fill out as best as they can the answers in their zoologist notebook to the four questions posed to them. The questions are help the students go deep in their thinking of endangered animals.
