She has 20+ years of dance training in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, contemporary, and lyrical, and she is passionate about developing confident, versatile dancers.
The start of her training includes 8 years as a competitive dancer, and then 6 years with the Houston Metropolitan pre-professional company. She is a graduate of the Houston ISD High School for the Performing & Visual Arts in Dance, a graduate of Lamar University in Dance, a two-year member of her college dance team, and later returned as an Assistant coach of the Lamar University Dance Team. She has held head dance director positions with both Beaumont ISD and Houston ISD, along with one year each as an Assistant Cheer coach and Assistant Color Guard coach.
Known for her strict and high standards and sharp eye for potential, Coach Parker believes in challenging dancers to meet the excellence she already sees in them, even when they don’t see it yet themselves. She holds her dancers to a professional level of discipline, effort, and consistency because she knows they are capable of greatness.
Her coaching style blends technique, accountability, and empowerment, ensuring each dancer grows not only in skill but in mindset, confidence, and presence on stage, at school, and in life.
