Welcome to the Null Middle School Dance Department, where we believe dance is more than movement, it's a mindset.
Our program is a safe and structured space for students to grow through discipline, express through creativity, and build confidence through performance. Whether students walk in with years of training or are brand new to dance, we meet them where they are and challenge them to reach new personal and artistic goals.
We serve a wide range of skill levels through a current class structure of Dance 1/Dance 2/ Dance 3, and teach with intention, compassion, and purpose. Students will train in ballet, jazz/lyrical, modern and dance composition, gaining strong technique while exploring how to connect emotion and story to their movement. But dance at Null isn’t just about mastering steps—it’s about learning life skills.
Students gain:
Discipline from structured warm-ups, technique training, and conditioning
Confidence through class participation and performances
Teamwork by working in groups and supporting peers
Resilience by facing challenges and pushing through mental blocks
Leadership as they progress and serve as role models for each other
We focus on performance-driven growth—not just improvement for the sake of a grade, but real artistic progress that students can feel and show. From in-class choreography to school-wide showcases and district events, students are constantly building toward real-world performance experiences.
Dance is not just an elective at Null. It's a program that transforms.
We believe dance is for everyone, and that progress matters more than perfection.
Whether students come in with no experience or advanced skills, our goal is to help them leave stronger, more focused, and performance-ready. Our classroom is a space to challenge the body, engage the mind, and inspire the spirit.
