Career Counseling

Jennifer Moore serves as the District Career Development Facilitator.  NMS counselors assist Mrs. Moore with the delivery of Career Counseling and the inclusion of Career Clusters.  Students learn about various Careers using the following platforms:

• Pathful Explore Career Assessments (Sept. , 2023)

• 8th Grade Career Fair @NMS (November 3, 2023)

• Piedmont Technical College Field Study (November 8, 2023)

• Newberry County Career Center Day

• Laurens & Newberry Career Showcase

• jROTC visits/Informational

• Counselor classroom lessons on Career Clusters

• Implementation of Individualized Graduation Plans (IGPS)

• Guest Speakers during school-wide assemblies

• Lunch and Learn sessions featuring:

  • Various community professionals

  • Career tracks from NCCC

  • College level athletes
