WORKSHOP ONE - VitaCare BioTechnology
"Collagen and collagen: What is the Difference?"
with Pawel Adamczuk
Venue: Ballroom 2, Level 5, Crowne Plaza Hotel, 9.00am
Thousands of “collagens” on the market are usually hydrolysates composed of amino acids, which are “post-collagen” proteins. They are not collagen any longer; they merely contain amino acids typical to collagen tissues. The principal sources of medical collagen are pork, calf skin and bone. There are now more studies on a much safer, alternative source of active collagen, mainly from aquatic life. Active collagen and its peptides FCP (fish collagen peptides) have already been extracted from the skin of salmon, cobia, hoki, tilapia, zebrafish, ling, shark, silver carp and also jellyfish.
Learning outcomes:
Practical use of collagen supplements in the practice based on recent studies, discoveries.
Biologically active collagen and its determination role in human body functioning and body balance incl menopause, immune system, COVID-19, adrenal health, osteoporosis. skin health.

WORKSHOP THREE - Bio-Practica
"Understanding the Silent Killer: The Rising Issue of Circadian Disruption"
with Paul Kern
Venue: Ballroom 2, Level 5, Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1.00pm
In an age where hustle culture and the demands of modern life often override the importance of eating and sleeping in accordance with our biological clock, the detrimental effects of circadian disruption are becoming increasingly evident. Mounting evidence indicates that this misalignment increases the risk of chronic disease, such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer.1
Sleep, once considered a passive state, is now recognised as a vital component of our physiological and psychological functioning. Our bodies operate on a delicate internal clock known as the circadian rhythm, orchestrating a symphony of biological processes that influence everything from hormone regulation to cognitive performance.2
Gain valuable insights into:
· Which biological mechanisms are involved in circadian rhythms and sleep regulation.
· What are the detrimental effects of sleep deprivation on physical and mental health.
· Strategies for targeting the circadian system to improve overall health.
· Novel diagnostic techniques to identify circadian health and dysfunction.
