Hello! I'm Amber Szper, a proud graduate of NJCU's OSP program. My educational journey began in 2012, and I graduated in 2018 with a degree in sociology and early childhood education. Following that, I pursued a MAT in Special Education at NJCU. Currently, I work at an elementary school in Newark, NJ, where I've gathered valuable experience from students, parents, and colleagues.
Transitioning from teaching third grade science to first grade, I identified a need for more technology in the classroom to support students. This observation prompted me to return to NJCU for the Ed.D. Technology Leadership program. My goal is to enhance my understanding of technology and explore ways to integrate it into science education.
In addition to my role as an educator, I am also an adjunct professor in the New Pathways to Teaching department at New Jersey City University. I strive to stay updated on technological advancements and seek innovative ways to incorporate technology into the classroom. I have conducted workshops for district educators and assisted with curriculum development. I am enthusiastic about collaborating with like-minded peers in the program to further my knowledge and skills in education and technology. I am eager to continue growing professionally and making a positive impact in the field of education.
