I know how it feels to lose yourself- to feel uncomfortable in your skin and out of control around food. After two years of emotional eating, stress, and self-sabotage, I realized I had gained over 85 pounds during the coronavirus lockdown.
I was 209 pounds at my heaviest. I had turned to food and alcohol for comfort during a toxic relationship, and I used food again to survive the depression that followed.
But something shifted inside me.
During that time, I did something radical. Instead of punishing myself with restriction, I learned to listen to my body. I learned how to eat the foods that I love, nourish my body without deprivation, and develop lifelong habits that work even when life is hard.
In just 5 and a half months, I lost 85 pounds safely, sustainably, and without giving up my favorite meals.
And now, I help others do the same.
