Details of the Research; My Ph.D. Research is on;
Assessment is on the 'Backwardness' and why tribal regions [Indigeneities] are still backward. it explores the indicator of 'Backwardness' for the Bhil tribe in Alirajpur and Jhabua region of Madhya Pradesh, India. Furthermore, the natural resources services for the same will be assessed. The Bhils [one of the tribes] have a vital role in resource management; they also have a unique Indigenous knowledge system, which indicates the detailed investigation. In the urban-centric approaches, they continue to be connoted as ‘backward.’ Their struggles for existence, including land, water, and forest rights issues, but they are more forward than the so-called civilised society, like circular in water and waste management, low-use of energy, natural resources practices, and zero footprints on the planet and place and utilisation of ecology, both on utilitarian and future grounds. The Bhils not only hold Indigenous methods of preservation of natural resources but also play a significant role in environmental management and climate change.
