I am a first year college student here at CCBC and I am very glad that I was able to participate in the CSIT 101 course offered here on the Dundalk campus. This course taught me to look at technology in a new light as our everyday lives are consumed by technology yet so few of us have an actual understanding of how that technology works. Despite this, this class taught me how various everyday technologies operate, and through this I am now much more efficient at navigating and using online tools and software. One of the many projects assigned to us in this class was that of creating an online website / EPortfolio that we would update as we got farther into the semester. This project was very fun and interesting as it showed me the technical and personal skills required to manage a website, as you the creator have to put yourself in the shoes of the user and create an overall design, look, and function that will capture and engage your audience. Lastly, this project was very useful as I now have a permanent window into one of my first ever college classes, which will allow me to rember and show off what I did in this course for years to come.
