The NH PTO is a vital part of our school community. We organize events, provide resources to teachers & staff, and support students beyond what's possible with the district's basic school budget.
We put on a single major fundraisor at the beginning of the year. Funds raised by the PTO provide teacher stipends for classroom activities (beyond basic supplies), field trips, assemblies, enrichment scholarships, parent education classes, and other enhancements that directly benefit students and teachers.
If you'd like to know more, join leadership, or otherwise just connect with the PTO, please email us at NorthernHeightsPTO@gmail.com and we'll invite you to our slack channel for the latest updates and happenings.
We're not a PTA, which means we don't charge membership dues. You're already a member because you're a part of our community. Welcome.
We are volunteers with a Mission that directly Impacts our students and community.
Every voice matters, and every helping hand makes a difference.
At Northern Heights, our PTO exists to help every student feel connected, seen, supported, and inspired—every single day. We prioritize making any event or engagement experience to be as accessible as possible to each student, regardless of income or ability.
Our first priority is student engagement. We partner with staff to bring bell‑to‑bell experiences to life, from schoolwide assemblies to favorite events like Bike to School Day and Field Day. These activities build community, celebrate effort, and create the kind of memories kids talk about all year. Everyone has the opportunity to participate as all events are free.
We're also committed to building strong connections between school and home, with engagement opportunities designed for parents and families.
Family Engagement brings students and families together to build connectivity and community. Throughout the year, we host free activities like Bingo Night, hallway Art Show, pumpkin decorating, and other after school events that welcome families to share in school life together. We strive to make these accessible, including offering carpooling.
Parent/Caregiver Engagement gives families the chance to learn more about our school and district through guest speakers and workshops. Past topics have included our comprehensive health curriculum, safety procedures, and other district services—helping parents stay informed and connected to what's happening in their child's education. We aim to have these after standard working hours, so as many parents/caregivers can join as possible.
Staff Support is shown in two ways. One, we celebrate them and all their amazing work and committment to our students. Two, we provide a small extra stipend to each grade level, to help make possible some of the dream curriculumns (like field trips!) to each student equally.
