National Gallery of Modern Art
Restoration Lab
The care of our art treasures is in a way our national responsibility. So, the National Gallery of Modern Art conscientiously looks after its collection. The climatic conditions in principal galleries are controlled by the central air-conditioning plant throughout the year.
The restorer periodically inspects works of art and the damaged ones are professionally restored from time to time. Photographs of works of art before and after restoration - showing various stages - are maintained for higher research and future reference.Â
