Poems
Florenta Berisha:
I dedicate this poem to a soldier named Vladimir who was drafted in Iraq on the year of 2003 after he lost his wife and his son on the 9/11 attack . After he came back from the war he was injured and lost his leg . Vladimir was a neighbor near my house right after I moved here in 2012. He would explain how horrible a war can be and how lucky he was to be alive after his friends were dead. After he told me his story I felt touched and wrote this poem because it is important to understand that there is people who sacrifice their life so they can go to war and fight in order to be protect us.
Braves soldats , braves soldats.
À la guerre , à la guerre
Vous avez eu froid , vous avez eu chaud.
Pour la paix , pour la paix .
Braves soldats , braves soldats.
À la guerre , À la guerre
Vouz avez eu faim, vous avez souffert.
Pour la paix, pour la paix.
Braves soldats , braves soldats.
Aujourd'hui , aujourd'hui

Faith
There is no stronger agony
to see a happy person,
and you live in an unhappy world.
In your heart says,
How to continue if there is no way out?
How to escape the problems
if there is no access to this promised release?
You want to cry; but a light illuminates you,
and if it lights you up, do not lose hope.
it's a sign that others have faith
whether you can
I know! It torments you makes you feel like a
lightning in the heart, as if she would never
stop this torture.
You feel that you can not do it anymore but you continue,
and you continue to search with effort for a day
defeat that ray and turn it into a sun,
leaving the past behind, moving fierce,
like the stars of God.

Lo so!
