(DISCLAIMER! I will update this article and post new articles when these rides are announced)
On November 14th, 2024, the Six Flags Entertainment Corporation launched a press release for their new additions and changes coming to their properties in 2026 or 2027. They stated that over 1 billion dollars would be spent on new additions and upgrades across the 27 amusement parks. They were stated as follows:
Carowinds will introduce a record-breaking water ride
Canada’s Wonderland will add a new record-breaking water attraction
King's Island will introduce a new family thrill attraction
Knott’s Soak City will receive a water park refresh and aesthetic enhancements
Six Flags Magic Mountain will debut a first-of-its-kind coaster in North America
Six Flags Great America will celebrate its 50th anniversary, debuting a new kids’ area, commemorative events and park enhancements
Six Flags Great Adventure will unveil a record-breaking launch coaster
Six Flags Over Texas will unleash a record-breaking dive coaster
Six Flags Mexico will introduce a family thrill boomerang coaster
As of late September 2025, we have gotten confirmation of some of these. The ones we don't have confirmation of are Carowinds, Canada's Wonderland, Knott's Soak City, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Great America, and Six Flags Great Adventure
Kings Island announced Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare, opening in 2026, it is a revival of a park favorite replacing the old Boo Blasters On Boo Hill dark ride/
Six Flags Over Texas announced Tormenta Rampage Run, a brand new Giga Dive Coaster coming in 2026, featuring a height of 309 feet and speed of ___ MPH.
Six Flags Mexico announced Speedway Stunt Coaster, a Vekoma 208M Rebound Family Boomerang, an exact clone of Snoopy's Soap Box Racers, which opened at Kings Island in 2024.
These are the only additions we have confirmation of. The other parks have started teasing for the Ride, like Six Flags Magic Mountain with the steampunk teasers. Overall, I would not be surprised if some of these additions were pushed to 2027. The ones I think could be pushed are Canada's Wonderland, Great Adventure, Carowinds and Magic Mountain.
