Email

Put your Newman email on your phone. Click here for a guide for Android phones, and here for a guide for iPhones. You'll need to login to access these.

myNewman

myNewman is here: https://www.newman.ac.uk/my-newman/

It's an online portal. Once you've enrolled, you'll have access to your username and password. Use them to log into myNewman.

There you'll find links to all of the resources you'll need including to Moodle, your Newman email, and more.

Moodle

Moodle is here: https://moodle3.newman.ac.uk/22-23/my/index.php

You'll need to log in with your Newman username and password.

Moodle is a virtual learning environment where you'll find all the information you need about your sessions and your assessment. You'll start out with access to the module(s) you're currently taking. Make sure you take time to get used to your Moodle pages.

University self-service portal

myNewman is here: https://www.newman.ac.uk/my-newman/

It's an online portal. There you'll find links to a range of services including the self-service portal. Here you can find IT information, help guides and report issues to elearning or IT.

You can go straight to the self-service portal here: https://newman.topdesk.net/tas/public/ssp/

Once you've enrolled, you'll have access to your username and password. Use them to log into myNewman.

Microsoft Office 365

Once you've enrolled at Newman, you'll be able to download a copy of Microsoft Office365.

You can find information on what it is and how to get it here. To follow this link you'll need to login with your Newman username and password, which you'll only be able to do once you've enrolled.

OneDrive

What is OneDrive?

An online (cloud-based) place for your files. It's part of your Office365 account, so you'll need to access it using your Newman username and password.

How do I find it?

Go to office.com and login with your Newman username and password, using the dual verification.

Library

Explore this page for an introduction to the library: https://libguides.newman.ac.uk/home. Here you'll find the 'library search' bar, which you can use to find books and articles for your assignments.

There's lots of information on these two pages that you will need to know. Bookmark the page, because you'll want to come back to it again and again. There's a guide to using the library, which tell you where to find computers, where to find books and most importantly, how to use the online library.

Box of Broadcasts

Box of broadcasts contains tons of programmes (TV and radio). You might be asked to watch material on box of broadcasts. To access it you'll need to login with your Newman username and password.
