Youth Appreciation Awards
January 2024
The club is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an in-person awards dinner at the New Dundee Community Center, on Wednesday February 28th, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the meal to be served at 6:30. Tickets are $25.00 for an adult and $12.00 for a child which can be paid for with cash at the door. Please email Rob O'Connor (roboco0528@gmail.com) to reserve your meal.
Any club, team or organization in the New Dundee area that feels they have a suitable candidate for an award, should contact Rob at the email listed above. The purpose of the awards is to recognize youth (ages 10-18) who have demonstrated exemplary behaviour and made positive contributions to their community, The award is less about recognizing the "top performer" of any particular group and more about those youth who display a positive attitude, strong work ethic, respect and compassion for others, and therefore serve as positive role models for their peers. Nominations should be made on or before January 31, 2024.
March 2022
Once again the club was proud to recognize youth who go above and beyond to give back to their community, help others and serve as good role models to their peers. Although COVID once again got in the way of hosting our annual Youth Appreciation Banquet, we were still able to recognize these deserving youth. With the aid of parents, teachers and coaches they were surprised at home and presented with a plaque and a framed copy of their nominating letter. In addition, each award winner received a $100.00 gift certificate to one of three local restaurants so that they will be able to celebrate their achievement with family and friends. We look forward to being able to gather together again next year at our annual banquet! Below are pictures of this year's recipients. Congratulations to all!
