Did you know that all funds raised by the Optimist Club are used to sponsor youth activities, equipment and events in our community?
New Members are always welcome! We hold dinner meetings the fourth Wednesday of each month from September to May at the New Dundee Community Centre.

Community Projects

Initiated the building of the New Dundee Community Centre and helped raise the community share of the cost
Purchased a $130,000 property and created Optimist Park on Alder Lake
Spearheaded the Doug Fischer Memorial Park and raised over $150,000 towards the project
Built a basketball court at N.D. Public School, a new fence around Community Park, flower boxes on the Bridge Street bridge and flower barrels around town
Supports the New Dundee Opti-Botics Program
Assists the New Dundee Fireworks Committee with Victoria Day Long Weekend activities
Supports Wilmot Family Resource Centre & Interfaith Family Counselling
Donates to New Dundee Public School for needed expenses
