Where does the funding come from?
A New Home For Climate Refugees (ANHCR) is a non profit organization that gets its funding from donations from individuals and corporations who have a strong care about the climate crisis and those affected by climate change. Our main target for donations are larger corporations as they have more funds available, but donations from individuals are still a necessity for our mission.
Where does the funding go?
Being a non profit means that all of our donations that are acquired go towards our mission. This includes the building of affordable houses in neighborhoods in and around cities that can support large numbers of climate refugees. The houses will vary on size from 2-4 bedroom houses, each with 2 bathrooms. Funding is also put towards the transportation of climate migrants as they make their way to their new homes from their previous homes. This can be a long and difficult trip, but ANHCR will help out as best as possible with the traveling. Depending on where the climate refugees are coming from, we would provide boats, buses, trains, and planes! The next item that our funding goes towards is education. This may be the most important part of our funding as education is the key to success. If climate refugees are coming from other parts of the world, we want them to understand and know the rights that they have once they get into the United States. We also want them to understand some of our culture, without losing their own culture. The funding will also go towards helping them get a new job in order to help them have a good quality of living.Â
