A PDF version of the full schedule will be available when it is finalized. We will also have printed copies of the schedule in your conference folders and a mini-schedule with your nametag.
Directions
You can find basic directions to the UNH campus here: https://www.unh.edu/main/map.
If you need a specific street address to use for your GPS, the best option is to use is 18 Library Way, Durham, NH 03824 which is the address of the UNH Dimond Library.
If you are staying in the dorms, use the location Mill Rd Visitors Lot, Durham, NH 03824. (Detailed information about dorms & parking will come in a subsequent message.)
If you are commuting or coming for a single day, please see the visitor parking map for the visitor parking lots indicated in blue: https://www.unh.edu/transportation/sites/www.unh.edu.transportation/files/media/PDFs/Parking/map.pdf. The Edgewood Visitor Lot on Edgewood Road is the closest public parking to the library, which is across Main Street. (Details information about parking will come in a subsequent message.)

Directions to Campus Crossing Visitor Lot & Holloway Commons (C-Lot): 3 Campus Crossing, UNH, Durham, NH 03824
From Boston, Massachusetts and points South: Take I-95 North to Exit 4 (NH Lakes & Mountains/Spaulding Turnpike-Routes 4 & 16). Continue North about 5 miles to Exit 6W for Route 4 West to Durham and Concord. Follow Route 4 West to exit for Route 155A. Turn left at end of exit ramp. This turns into Main Street at UNH. Go through one set of lights and down a small hill. Holloway Commons will be on your right as you proceed down the hill.
Campus Crossing Visitor Lot: Proceed past Holloway Commons and take the 2nd right onto Campus Crossing. Take the 2nd right into the entrance for the Campus Crossing Visitor Lot. Parking permit information is listed below.
From Portland, Maine and points North: Take I-95 South, over the Maine-NH bridge and take Exit 5, which turns into Spaulding Turnpike Route 16 North. Continue North about 5 miles to Exit 6W for Route 4 West to Durham and Concord. Follow Route 4 West to exit for Route 155A. Turn left at end of exit ramp. This turns into Main Street at UNH. From Manchester, NH and points Southwest: Take Route 101 East to Exit 7 for Route 125 North. Pick up Route 4 East at the Lee, NH traffic circle. Take Route 155A exit and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. This turns into Main Street at UNH. Go through one set of lights and down a small hill. Holloway Commons will be on your right as you proceed down the hill.

If Campus Crossing Visitor Lot is Full: Take a right out of Campus Crossing Visitor Lot. Take a right onto McDaniel Drive. Take a right onto College Road and follow to the end. Take a right onto Main Street. Take the first left onto Edgewood Road. Edgewood Visitor Lot will be on the left. The parking permit code below will be valid in this lot.
PARKING PERMIT INFORMATION
Your parking permit will be included in your Housing check-in packet. Please place your permit in your vehicle as soon as possible to avoid receiving a parking ticket.

Session Locations
All of the Science Boot Camp sessions will take place in the Courtyard Reading Room on the 5th floor of the Dimond Library, the main library on campus.
From the dorms, walk west on the sidewalk along Main Street. When you see Garrison Ave on the right hand side of Main Street, turn left to walk by the Thompson Hall clock tower. Dimond Library is the building behind Thompson Hall.
From the Edgewood Visitor Lot, walk south to cross Main Street and follow the walkway to Dimond Library.
Enter the library using the front doors. Take the stairs immediately to your left and go up two flights. The Courtyard Reading Room will be immediately to your right when you reach the 5th floor.
If you need to use an elevator to access the Courtyard Reading Room, the nearest elevator is just beyond the stairs to the left. You may also ask for directions at the circulation desk.
Meals, Tours, Capstone, & Exercise
Meals
All our meals except for Thursday’s Buffet Dinner will be in the Holloway Commons. Please wear your Science Boot Camp nametags, as these will serve as your meal pass for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Buffet Dinner on Thursday will be held in the Addison Reading Room, on the main floor of the Dimond Library. A cash bar will be available.
Tours
If you signed up for Wednesday morning tours (Chase Ocean Engineering and/or the UNH Brew Lab), meet at the Dimond Library 15 minutes before the start of the tour. (First tour session, meet at 10:00. Folks going only on second tour session meet at 11:00.) If you are going on both tours, you will be guided to the second location by one of the local people also on the tour. Both tour locations require a bit of walking. Please reach out to Eugenia if you have any accessibility concerns.
Capstone
If you signed up for the capstone session on Friday, please bring your laptops or tablets in order to participate in finding patents and creating a patent coloring book. The library also has a few laptops available to borrow, if you forget your device.
Exercise
Hamel Recreation Center ($11 daily pass) https://campusrec.unh.edu/hamel-recreation-center
For those interested in using the Hamel Recreation Center, facilities include a fitness space, track, a bouldering wall, squash and racquetball courts, and a locker room with saunas.
College Woods https://campusrec.unh.edu/college-woods
Visitors can walk through the university’s College Woods, which has roughly 2.14 mile of trail.

Dorm Information
We will be staying in the Mills Residential Hall. (For Google Maps, you can use Mill Rd Visitors Lot as the location and it should get you to the correct location.) There will be construction by the main entrance, so please use the back or side entrances to the dorms. Mills Hall consists of suites with a shared bathroom. Each person will have their own bedroom within the suite. Linens will all be provided for each room.
Campers arriving on Tuesday: Conference Services Staff or Boot Camp committee members will be available to check you into the dorms any time before 7:00PM. If you plan to arrive later on Tuesday, please email Eugenia.
Campers arriving on Wednesday: Conference Services Staff will be available to check you into the dorms in Mills Hall from 9:00AM to noon. They will provide you with your room key. Registration from noon to 5:00PM will be by the Courtyard Reading Room in Dimond Library.
Check-out: All campers need to check out of the dorms by 2:00pm on Friday. Please be sure to return your room keys. Missing keys will incur a cost of $75 per key.
Parking: More detailed parking information will be provided in another email from Kristin Cahill.
Meals: Meals are provided starting with lunch on Wednesday. If you are arriving on Tuesday and want to get food Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, there are many options for you: link here.
Suggestions on What to Bring
Things to consider bringing:
shampoo, conditioner, SOAP (including hand soap), shower items
flip flops (for showers)
robe (for trekking to & from the bathroom)
pillow (if you have a favorite one)
power strip
phone, tablet, laptop, etc. (do not need to bring to every session, but helpful for completing evaluations and for Capstone)
chargers (phone, tablet, laptop, mp3 player, etc.)
alarm clock
musical instruments (if you play)
walking shoes
rain gear
umbrella
clothes hangers
reading lamp
fan
extra blanket (dorm temperatures can be unpredictable)
sweater or sweatshirt (library temperatures can be unpredictable, too)
mattress pad (mattresses in dorms are often slick and it can be a challenge getting a flat sheet to stay on!)
