Presentation done at the 11th McGill Neonatal Conference - 2022 - Neonatal Cardiac Issues
October 1, 2026: Critical Congenital Heart Diseases Not to Miss on TNE. On September 30, 2026, Dr. Sarah Spénard delivered a teaching session on “Critical Congenital Heart Diseases Not to Miss on TNE” as part of our Neonatal Hemodynamics and Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography (NH-TNE) training program. The course explored key congenital heart lesions to recognize during neonatal echocardiographic assessment, linking cardiac anatomy with physiology and clinical presentation. Topics included duct-dependent systemic and pulmonary blood flow, inadequate mixing, and obstructed pulmonary venous return. A warm thank you to Dr. Spénard for this valuable contribution to our program and for generously sharing her teaching slides. Her presentation is available below.
