Landmate Support

The Landmate program is a partnership which is jointly funded by Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning and the Department of Justice. Small groups of Industry supervised prisoners undertake environmental works on private and public land in Beechworth and surrounding district. Objectives of the program include:

• Assistance for landholders, Landcare and community groups to achieve environmental improvements.
• Provide Corrections Victoria and the prisoners involved the opportunity to provide a positive contribution to the local community.
• Provide prisoners with opportunity to learn new skills and develop and/or maintain a work ethic that will assist their reintegration back into society on release.

If your group has a project funded by DELWP - including Landcare Grants, Riparian Incentives, Threatened Species etc, this now gives the group access to free Landmate support for this project.

You will need to have a DELWP Project ID when booking - contact CMA for this.
