After 32 years of teaching kindergarten through college-age students, I chose SDG #4 because teaching about other cultures is as important, or even more so, than pedagogy. In order to create a desire for students to become lifelong learners, they must be not only exposed to world music, but they need to learn about customs, history, instruments, and the impact music has around the world.  I truly believe that your passion for learning must shine through in order to inspire your students and really grab their attention.
