Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (EIA/ESIA) are more than regulatory requirements—they are tools to understand how projects interact with the environment and communities, and how potential risks can be managed responsibly.
In recent years, I have been actively engaged in environmental consulting, particularly at ERM and ESC, where I exercised adaptive Environmental, Social, and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) approaches to diverse renewable energy projects across Vietnam and the region. This work ensured compliance with local regulations while aligning with international best practices, including IFC Performance Standards, World Bank, and ADB safeguards.
Assessing environmental and social impacts for solar, wind, and LNG-to-power projects across Vietnam and the region, ensuring developments align with both local laws and international safeguards
Coordinate with local biodiversity expert, conducting ecological field surveys and habitat mapping to establish biodiversity baselines, ensuring potential impacts are properly understood and conservation measures are targeted and effective.
Facilitating dialogue with local communities, authorities, and stakeholders to build trust, gather insights, and integrate local perspectives into project design and decision-making.
Mapping and analyzing the project footprint to identify risks to water, land, biodiversity, and communities—providing a clear basis for mitigation and management measures
