I used python to download and visualize the rainfall intensity of the Hagibis typhoon that hit Japan really hard in 2019. In the heaviest rain areas (red color) flooding and mudslides likely happened.  This is NOAA Global Forecast System's 48 hours prediction

I find it's always fun to look at the flow of data! Below is an animation of landcover change in the Mekong delta, Vietnam from 2001-2018.
